Cincinnati, known to settlers as a river town, is home to quite a few historical structures, many of which are over 200 years old. William Howard Taft, the 27th president was born in Cincinnati. Although Cincinnati is home to many sports teams, many runners are attracted to the city as well. Cincinnati’s economy began in the early 1800’s with the introduction of steamboats on the Ohio River. Today, it is known for its many start-up companies, as well as being the headquarters of several Fortune 500 companies. Due to new developments and private investments, Cincinnati is growing and changing. Transportation is one of these areas. With the cost of living and the unemployment rate below the national average, Cincinnati’s economy may have a pull with many people.
